  JQuery to check atleast one checkbox is checked in the gridview asp.net
Posted by: ChannuShahapur - 24-04-2017, 11:04 AM - Forum: JavaScript and JQuery - No Replies

Hi,

      Here is the Jquery code to check weather at least one checkbox is checked in the gridview column.
It is a client side validation using JQuery.

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
       $(document).ready(function () {
           $('#btnDelete').click(function () {
               var chkboxrowcount = $("#<%=grdEmployeeDelete.ClientID%> input[id*='chkDelete']:checkbox:checked").size();
               if (chkboxrowcount == 0) {
                   alert("please select at least one record");
                   return false;
               }
               return true;
           });
       });
   </script>

Kindly share if you find it useful.
If you have any doubt, please comment below.

Note: I have attached the complete code with a small example, you can download and refer it.

A new, free update coming to Windows 10 early next year will let just about anyone use a VR headset with their PC. The headsets will start at just $299 and come from a variety of companies like Dell, Asus, and Lenovo. That's much cheaper than other headsets like the Oculus Rift, which starts at $599.

Star Dynamically Add .net controls to Web Form on Button click event
Posted by: Nagaraj Nidagundi - 27-02-2017, 11:15 PM - Forum: C#.NET and SQL Server - Replies (2)

Hi Guys, This article regards to Dynamically create asp.net controls in Web application
Here I used One Button control and Panel. Button having Click event that does code behind activity to Create asp.net controls and Adds to Panel.
Thus we can add any number of controls to page. Here I'm adding Textbox Control to Page i.e. Inside Panel .

Code:
<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Test.aspx.cs" Inherits="Test.Test" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head runat="server">
   <title></title>
</head>
<body>
   <form id="form1" runat="server">
   <div>

       <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" onclick="Button1_Click" Text="Button" />
       <asp:Panel ID="Panel1" runat="server">
       </asp:Panel>

   </div>
   </form>
</body>
</html>
Code:
using System.Web.UI;
using System.Web.UI.WebControls;

namespace Test
{
   public partial class Test : System.Web.UI.Page
   {
       static int i = 0;
       TextBox txt = new TextBox();
       protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
       {

       }

       protected void Button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
       {
           i++;
           for (int j = 0; j < i; j++)
           {
               txt = new TextBox();
               txt.ID = j.ToString();
               Panel1.Controls.Add(txt);
           }
       }
   }
}

Here the main Logic is:
Code:
//Create New Textbox
 TextBox txt = new TextBox();
 txt.ID = "test" + ID;
 txt.Text = "";

//Newly created textbox add to Panel
 Panel1.Controls.Add(txt);
Thank U, Hope it helps...
Here I'm attaching Source code file...

Star How to generate CSV in C# using datatable? with ',' seperated data in columns
Posted by: ChannuShahapur - 09-02-2017, 05:29 PM - Forum: C#.NET and SQL Server - No Replies

Hi here is the code which can be used to generate CSV file using datatable in C#, even your datatable column contains ','  separated data.

Code:
public static void ExportToCSV(this System.Data.DataTable dt)
       {
           try
           {
               if (dt.Rows.Count > 0)
               {
                   string CSVFilePath = "Test";

                   StringBuilder fileContent = new StringBuilder();

                   foreach (var col in dt.Columns)
                   {
                       fileContent.Append(col.ToString() + ",");
                   }

                   fileContent.Replace(",", System.Environment.NewLine, fileContent.Length - 1, 1);

                   foreach (DataRow dr in dt.Rows)
                   {

                       foreach (var column in dr.ItemArray)
                       {
                           fileContent.Append("\"" + column.ToString() + "\",");
                       }

                       fileContent.Replace(",", System.Environment.NewLine, fileContent.Length - 1, 1);
                   }

                   String FinalPath = Application.StartupPath + "\\CSVFiles\\" + CSVFilePath + ".csv";
                   String myDir = Application.StartupPath + "\\CSVFiles\\";

                   System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(myDir);
                   System.IO.File.WriteAllText(FinalPath, fileContent.ToString());
               }
           }
           catch (Exception ex)
           {
        lblError.Text = ex.Message.ToString();
           }
       }

Thank You..!!
